Energy Medicine for
Trauma
Somatic Trauma Resolution is an
amazingly effective way to discharge trauma and reorganize the nervous system toward healing. Based on Somatic
Experiencing, the practitioner coaches the client to become curious about bodily sensations in a way that opens
neural pathways and allows the discharge of trauma-bound energy. This adrenaline-related energy came up for an
emergency and often remains in the system for decades, causing havoc to our physiology as well as our emotions,
relationships, productivity, sexuality, and creativity.
This energy has been in cold storage under the care of the hindbrain, whose language is sensation and whose job
is survival. The results are phenomenal and can be integrated with all therapeutic modalities. Healing occurs in
body as well as mind, emotions and spirit. This workshop is applicable for old and recent injuries, accidents,
abuse, loss etc. The skills can also be useful for making decisions and becoming more conscious and resilient.
In this seminar you will be introduced to this work, see demonstrations, and learn some basic skills to practice.
If there is sufficient interest Sharon will continue the training in Ohio, this being Module I. The material in
this workshop is based primarily on the Somatic Experiencing trauma work of Peter Levine, Ph.D. Sharon s approach
is deeply informed by Polarity Therapy and the Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy approach of Franklin Sills.
The training is paced for therapists,
counselors, body-workers, and other health professionals. Parents and lay persons may join if they are emotionally
stable. CEUs are available in some cases. Please confirm that the ones you require are available.

Waking the Tiger: Healing Trauma and/or Healing Trauma (self-help exercises with CD), both by Peter Levine. Also
Sharon Porter s Video of Level 1 workshop is recommended to gain maximum from the course in person. The Ayurveda
Natural Health Center has these items for sale. Articles and chapters from Sharon s manuscript will be sent to
workshop registrees.
